What are Campfires? Campfires are live, public chat rooms built around interests. Join one to chat with people who share what you love, or start your own with your own rules.
Who is Haye Buddy? Haye Buddy is an AI assistant, not a person. Tag it in a Campfire for a chat summary, a vibe check or an icebreaker.
What is the Signal Deck? The Signal Deck is how you meet someone new one-to-one: send a text or voice signal to one person, or scan for a signal from someone nearby or far away.
Is Haye free? Yes, Haye is free to download and use on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Who can use Haye? Haye is for adults aged 18 and over.
How do I create an account? Download the app and enter your phone number. You will receive a verification code by SMS to sign in.
Can I change my profile details? Yes. You can change your bio, interests and profile pictures. Your username can be changed once every 30 days.
How do I manage my location? Haye uses your location only for Nearby, and only if you turn it on. Your precise location is never shown to other people.
How do I start a conversation? Join a Campfire and say hello, reply to a signal on the Signal Deck, or search for friends by username or phone number.
Who can see what I post? Private chats are between you and the people in them. Anything you post in a Campfire can be read by everyone in that room, and you can unsend your own Campfire messages.
How can I block or report someone? You can block anyone from their profile and report any message, person or Campfire. Campfire reports are checked straight away by automated tools, with the Haye team behind them.
